I guess I'm an oddball because I really don't like football or any other tribal sports which lead to hysterical behaviour by crowds of ... hooligans.
That said, I guess I should have watched the Lionesses representing our country and coming second place in the world cup, a splendid effort !

my father, who was in the Royal Navy, was divorced from my mother when I was 3y.o.(1943). When he was finally demobbed, after 34 years or so, I was told many, many, years later, apparently had a second wife who gave birth to 7 more sons??
Don't know the veracity of the story, and frankly, I don't give a s..t!!!! Although, as my older brother, who died a decade or more ago, I now, in old age ruminate on whether I have several step-brothers??? Obviously, at my age, the father, another Arnold, must now be long gone.
