Berlin posting barracks name?

Post by Alaurie »

Does anyone remember the name of the barracks in Berlin they were posted to? I was a pad brat then and remember living in Spandau and playing on the wall when they knocked it down. Trying to remember the location of the flats and barracks. I remember the flats having a playing field opposite and a graveyard at the end of the road.

Smuts Barracks

"Field Marshal Jan Christian Smuts, OM, CH, DTD, ED, PC, KC, FRS (24 May 1870 – 11 September 1950) was a South African statesman, military leader and philosopher.[1] In addition to holding various military and cabinet posts, he served as prime minister of the Union of South Africa from 1919 to 1924 and 1939 to 1948."
