I have at last, almost 40 years on, written my memoirs, highlighting my role in the Falklands War, for which I was awarded a Military Medal. There are also multiple references to my time with the 14/20KH etc..

I have already sent a PDF copy out to many a pal and I hope they enjoy reading it !

If you have not yet received a copy and would like a copy, 100% free, just send me a pm with your e-mail address.

That's it...

My thanks to those who have posted feedback on this thread.
I have also had a lot of direct feedback too and it's all positive ;).

The main reason that I wrote it, then distributed it free by the quickest means possible, was to make people aware of the brutal reality of war, which it seems we may all experience before too long :o :o !

The payback for me is that a handful of long lost good friends have turned up and it's as if we had spoken just yesterday :).
What a shame it would have been not to have found them and so never to have seen them again

Bless you all, especially Bob who yet again sorted things out for me :P.

From Bill,
I am getting some great responses thanks to your having posted my 'report'.
In particular this one from the son of my dear departed friend George Kirk.
Michael, who l used to babysit in Herford, sent me this photo of him and his family who live in New Zealand !
He is happy for our family on the ARC to enjoy this photo.
Thanks Michael & family.

A fascinating insight and from the horses mouth. Thx Bill for an excellent historical account. Passed it over too a few vets that I know.
