What a horribly obnoxious society we have become:

our own dead from previous conflicts. And at the same time sit around whilst lsrael slaughters its neighbours in a desperately unfair fight.
I have previously asked on this forum "what is it that charachterises the British peoples ?"
One of the better traits is, l always thought, to support the underdog. But we certainly are not doing that right now. We are not even prepared to demand a ceasefire to prevent the continued slaughter ... just a 'humanitarian pause'. l feel sick at our lack of humanity !
And those that survive will still hate us, in a hundred years, for not doing the right thing today.
Shame on all of us !

But no Leaders of the West seem have the balls, to condemn Israel for the carnage in the Gaza strip. For the fear of being called Antisemitic. They seem to be happy to let Israel wipe the palestinian people from the face of the earth.
I am no lover of the Arabs. But this slaughter just can't be allowed to continue unchecked.

l honestly don't think one has to be an Antisemite or pro Arab to recognise that what has been going on for decades in the Middle East is as morally and fundamentally wrong as Apartheid was in South Africa.
That said l do believe that in both cases the location is key to the issue:
lt was wrong for whites to want to dominate blacks on their own historical territory.
Just as it is wrong that European Jews want to dominate the Arabs within their own historical territory.
For is it not so that most of the Jews living in Israel have recent European roots, even if many also came from America (= ex- Europeans) ?
Has not North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula been dominated by lslam for a thousand years ?
ln my eyes it is bizzar to go back another thousand years and demand that the Jews have a stronger claim to that land than the Arabs/ Egyptians/ Black Africans. lf that were so we would all have to capitulate and claim to be Romans ... and join the Maffia !
To be blunt, it is in the human DNA to hunt/ fight and kill ...
but with our modern weapons we are in fact accelerating the destruction of the climate which allows us all Arab, Jew, Christian etc., etc., to live reasonably comfortably.
... And, after the dust has settled there will be nothing but dust to eat.

As you know Bill I do not agree with anything you say on this particular subject! Suffice it to say there are no European, or any other, Jews who ALL originated in Judea. At the time of the Roman colonisation of the place, because of the Romans, the Diaspora took place, spreading the 10 Tribes of Israel all over the world. All nations took to abusing them as a People, even today the Yanks have anti-semites in great numbers. On the 14th of May 1947 they determined that they had had enough..... and declared the State of Israel.
I could go on ad-nauseum, but won't! Don't want to fall out with anyone.

Just look at the riot in Dublin this week. Some dickhead on social media, blames an immigrant for the stabbing. And all the idiots who are looking for any excuse. Rip the city apart.
Some people are just evil, and will do anything to stir the nutters up. Black man beats White or any other Race or Creed. And the mobile phone warriors post it on social media. And out of the woodwork come all the head cases. Beat anyone they come upon. Burn cars buildings, then go on a looting spree.
Humanity has always hated others who are not (in their eyes) the same as them. And to wipe them off the face of the earth. Unless something magic happens to the Human psyche. Nothing will change. Wars and hatred will just go on and on. It just needs a spark to set it all off.
