What dreadful news, Bob and I were very good friends throughout the '70's. We often went away together, once all the way up to Scotland where we ran up Ben Nevis ... and back down
. We spent many a time camping and training together, enjoying our youth and dreaming of our futures. Bob was a delightful person to be with, may he now Rest in Peace. My condolences to his family and loved ones

Very sad news.
I was in SHQ Troop C Squadron with Bob in Hereford 1975. He was a really genuine guy. No edge to him at all just a lovely bloke.
RIP Bob

Dear Bob,
amidst this carnage, which prevents me being physically at your final parade in this hour, be assured that my heart and spirit are with you.
Go now in peace and enter Valhalla to join those warriors that have shared those same dreams of our youth, for you are now immortal, Amen.
