Where is everybody?

It is now two weeks since anybody submitted anything to the site. I know we lost a lot of Hawks or Hussars or their wives in January, may they all REST IN PEACE, but surely there must be some old or even young Hawks still interested in the Noah's Arc?
Come on, it will give you something to do during your interminable lockdown. You must have some thoughts about the impending demise of the European Union!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Lets hear you all give a rousing cheer and drink at the Wake.

We have well and truly by screwed by the EU mostly by the frogs (sorry the French).
All the fish and fresh food rotting at the docks. Wagons with mixed loads having fill a different form for each item item. Again they are just being pricks (just cos they can
)
And we still allow them to fish in British waters  . We should do like Iceland did to us all those years ago and sink the gits.
Where is Victoria with her gunboats :D :D .
They even tried to rob our vaccines over the N.I. border   .
We can do without French products,
we can get all our Wine from the new world, north and south America. fruit and veg from the rest of the world.
Plus the French stink of Garlick ;) ;)
Will that get some old Hawks back on line, :D :D :D

Hi John, Agree with everything you said, mainly about the French, except the Beautiful girls and women. They have tried to push their Language onto the world, without much success, I might add. Stopping everyone using French product names on local copies of French products. Australia who produce some excellent local wines originally from French vinyard cuttings brought to Australia were made to stop using the names Champagne, Bordeaux, etc.
French immigrants to Australia also brought the food with them. They also were threatened with dire consequences. What else could they be called other than frogs legs or Camembert or Escargot, I suppose they could be called snails but that does not sound appetizing enough.
With the other European countries we are not in anyway criticising the people, it is the European Union, and particular their Commission, who are in the main, FAILED politicians in their own countries who I particularly despise. :x :x :x :x :x :x
The main body of Remainers and supporters in the other countries of the Union are the supposed 'Civil' servants, who can multiply under Union and just rubber stamp the rubbish which the Union, and their 'Civil' servants interminably push out.
Arnie on his soap box yet again. Over to you or Pinky, Bill, or anybody else who cares to join in and contribute.

Fully agree with you guys when we joined the Common Market it should have stayed as stated a market for euro countries to trade with each other.
Sadly as usual the civil servants/Politian's wanted more status and power which sadly slowly and blindly moved into a political coalition to control the member states. Personally had we stayed a market traded I would have voted to stay but why should Brussels interfere in our local constitution so I was a Brexiteer. I am pretty sure when some of the members see how we are trading with the world and our economy is beginning to prosper they will begin to question their membership policy

Howdy,
How can a common market of (European) traders dictate the ingredients a British made sausage? Wrong - just wrong.
Enough said.

Sorry Michael (Burgess) That's not quite correct. Right from the beginning, the Rome agreement of 1948. The declared intention was to gradually move towards a integrated union as a means of finally ending Europe's pesky habit of having wars every few decades. We, of course didn't want to be a part of that, and De Gaul certainly never wanted us in on it either. We kept on trying though and eventually our politicians persuaded us, or at least themselves that it would all be for the best. The culmination was when John Major, having signed the Mastchrict treaty came back and told us Brits that he wouldn't attempt to explain it to us because "only lawyers could understand it." The prat! Cheers, Syd.

Hi yall,

To go back to earlier discussion of the Common Market and all its morphs right up to the EU.
I am reminded that early in the Referendum campaign someone provided an argument for the Brexit side. Crux of his argument centred around the Bureaucracy in Brusselles. To illustrate his point he showed film, from 1972, of the day it was passed in Westminster. This clip showed two men staggering/carrying a pile of papers about 2 feet high into the Chamber. These were the rules and regulations of the Common Market. Ted Heath was beaming all over his face :D :D :D :D :D :D . The presenter of this film clip then told the viewers that it had been calculated that the Rules and Regulations of the EU now (2016) would be 43 feet.(Don't know who the hell calculates these figure :?: :?: :?: ) It beggers belief, what is today.

Stay safe and Healthy

Arnie ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
